Our Design & Planning Process
Our design and planning service is ideal for domestic and commercial extensions, loft conversions, alterations, extensions and new build. We are happy to offer an individually tailored service to suit the level of involvement you wish us to have, from providing professional scale drawings to completing the planning application and associated documentation on your behalf.
After the initial free consultation, advice and approval of our written quotation, we will manage the process through the following stages:
Planning and design layout from your initial thoughts and ideas. Our surveyor will visit your property at a mutually agreed time to discuss the project with you, to ensure we understand exactly what you want from the development.
Whether your plan is to renovate, extend, adapt, or develop, we can offer you a wealth of information to make the process a little less daunting.
We undertake a full measurement and photographic survey of existing buildings and land, including site investigation to determine positions and locations of drains and services.
We produce working drawings which are generated using the latest computer aided technology (CAD). Following this stage we will arrange a further meeting for you to view your drawings, and make any changes necessary. Once you are satisfied that the design meets your requirements, we will prepare the approval drawings.
A full technical specification is provided with detailed foundation plans showing the precise construction to meet the lates building regulations.
We manage your planning application and building regulation requirements from start to finish, monitoring the applications progress while liaising with the local authority on any matters arising, amending drawings if necessary.
Upon approval of the application we will provide a pack containing a full set of working drawings, calculations, technical specification and all the relevant documentation from the local authority.
